Setup, troubleshooting, safety, and account help for OpenBoard.
Getting started
- Install OpenBoard from your browser's official extension store once the listing is live.
- Open any ordinary public web page.
- Select the OpenBoard launcher to open the page's shared board.
- You can read while signed out. To post, enter your email and the six-digit sign-in code.
Common fixes
The launcher is hidden
Open the extension popup and make sure Show OpenBoard is enabled for the current site. Browser-internal pages and extension-store pages do not allow content scripts.
The board cannot load
Check your connection and use Retry. OpenBoard needs access to its Supabase API. If a corporate filter blocks it, ask the network administrator to allow the extension's documented backend origin.
I did not receive a sign-in code
Check the address and spam folder, wait a minute, then request a new code. Never share a sign-in code with anyone.
Delete your account
Open the extension popup while signed in, expand Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm. Your authentication account and linked profile, votes, reports, and rate records are removed. Existing comments remain as anonymized [deleted] contributions.
Report abuse
Use the report menu on a comment and select the closest reason. Do not include private information in public comments.
Contact and issue reports
For technical issues, open a public issue in the OpenBoard support tracker. Do not post personal data, email addresses, sign-in codes, or confidential information there.
For privacy requests, use in-app deletion where applicable or contact Bite Technologies Ltd by post at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX. Include only the information necessary to identify and answer the request.
